Hit and Run Driver Sought
in Florida

Any information offered to family members, and police, pertaining to the hit and run of William Finney on Sept 14, 2004 in Palm Bay Florida would be greatly apprepreciated. Bill was a family man, 74 years old, orginally from Maine, retired in Palm Bay. Loved by his neighbors, and greatly missed by his family. He was taking his morning walk early on the morning of Sept. 14, 2004 when a light blue pick up truck struck and killed him. The incident took place at Emerson Drive and Coberg Avenue in Palm Bay at 6:50 am. Witnesses say that the passenger got out and looked at Bill, then both passenger and driver fled the scene. The truck is described as light blue and may be either an S-10 Chevy or Dodge Dakota with a diamond toolbox, and front end damage.
One witness said that the guy who got out of the vehicle had blonde hair with black tips. The story sadly does not end here. After arriving back in Palm Bay after Bill's burial in Maine, his wife Edith passed away in her sleep just one month after his death. It is said she died of a broken heart... Essentially, this driver killed two people.... UPDATEUnbelieveably this story takes another tragic twist. A short time later Bill and Edith's youngest daughter Ann was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. She passed away just a year later in Sept 2005. Bill and Edith's oldest daughter Sandra is all who is left to deal with these multiple tragedies. Justice can not be accomplished until this killer is behind bars.

A candle is lit for both William and Edith Finney until justice is found. Just consider if this was your family, your father, husband, brother, or son who was killed and the coward who killed him had not being brought to justice. If you have any information, or even think you might, please let the Palm Bay police know. Crime Line 1-800-423-8477 and remain anonymous with a possible 1,000 reward for information apprehending the killer.....
